Hank The Tile Doctor Shares Secrets Gained From
40 Years Experience So Laymen Can Succeed
Lake Ann, MI--- Installing ceramic tile properly, fast becoming a lost art, is being resurrected through a series of instructional DVDs & videos produced for laymen by an expert known as Hank The Tile Doctor. Hank Visser, who has almost 45 years experience in ceramic tile, has produced two VHS and two DVD videos on "Do It Yourself Tile" and "Shower Drain and Pan Installation."
Hank The Tile Doctor had planned to write a book in the mid-1990s on working with ceramic tile but about that time discovered the Web on the Internet and then learned about a video production company near his home. He decided a far better way to teach would be through VHS, DVDs and with a Web site.
"I figured most people would rather see how to do ceramics by watching the steps demonstrated rather than reading a book," says Visser. "I think most people learn better visually, by watching the steps being demonstrated and at $14.95 it's a pretty small investment to do right."
"A lot of people can't afford to hire a professional to do a ceramic job but are willing to do the tasks themselves if they knew how," explains Visser. "There also are professional people who could afford to hire someone but they enjoy working with their hands and seeing the results. They work all day in an office creating money but have creative ideas for a home project and just need a little help to get started."
Hank The Tile Doctor's DVD's & videos provide the knowledge and know-how laymen will need to install tile themselves. The ceramic video includes complete instructions for installation of floors, counter tops, walls, and tub surrounds. The second video features a complete shower, drain and pan installation along with helpful hints and designs.
Among the tips are: choosing the right tile for the job; proper fitting and cutting; using the right tools to save time and money; substrate installation secrets; secrets of applying grout; keeping your tile beautiful; when to hire a professional and how to find a good one.
Also included is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), based on questions laymen asked the Hank The Tile Doctor over a two-year period. The videos and DVDs are available at: http://www.hankthetiledoctor.com for $14.95 each.
Besides almost a half-decade experience in ceramic tile, Visser also has experience working with plastering walls, stone work, plumbing, copper sweating, construction, linoleum and vinyl sheeting.
Hank The Tile Doctor speaks at a level easily understood by laymen and moves step-by-step so the process and requirements for the task are clear. "After watching my videos, if the person decides against tackling the project at least he is better equipped to hire a professional and supervise the work."
